The baseline model of our Sequence Collection of packs. While it appears as a simple small load hauler, the design and materials encompass all that we have learned in over 40 years of pack-making. This pack comfortably carries the essentials over any terrain and is constructed to last for decades.
Crafted with Polartec® Power Wool, this is a refined top for alpine pursuits. By isolating a merino wool interior and a synthetic fiber exterior, this hybrid fabric optimizes wicking, breathability, odor resistance and durability. The design includes a 4-button placket for ventilation and underarm gussets for easier movement.
The MTN PACKBOARD daypack has a compact, well-organized packsack with a lot of exterior lash points to help haul your toys off the beaten path. We were inspired by trappers’ packboards and the ability to handle a variety of volumes and weights. Then we added some details that are found on modern military packs to help customize the carry options.
There is also a thin plastic frame sheet in the back panel that helps support the pack when lashing heavier gear like skis and we upgraded the shoulder harness to 1/2” EVA foam for supreme comfort. The outside of the pack features a double layer of 1000d Cordura® on the bottom for extra durability.
We built the pack using “heritage” construction techniques like double-needle stitching for durability and additional bar-tack stitching for strength. We also made sure to bind every raw seam – including around the zippers – to make sure the product lasts from the inside as well as the outside. The leather patch ages beautifully and adds timeless style to create a new “classic.”
This is the “one” pack that is needed for almost all activities in a mountain town. It is sized for hikes above tree line, flexible enough for adventure trail rides, and stiff enough for side country skiing. The design and materials encompass all that we have learned in over 40 years of pack-making and is constructed to last for decades of use.
Burning candles for spiritual purposes dates back to ancient times. Our mascot The Pack Rat directs the mountain traveler to return safely from his adventure. The royal blue wax color represents the seeking of truth in the mountains and our loyalty to our colleagues. Light this candle whenever you or your loved ones are traveling into the mountains. This was made for us by a traditional family-owned candle factory that has been operating in the US for over 70 years.
